Simon is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with considerable experience in working with owner managed businesses advising on R&D matters, corporate tax, income tax and personal tax returns in a variety of sectors from construction through to cosmetic.
He regularly attends client meetings with partners and is fundamental at advising clients on the best approach for both their business and personal tax affairs.
Simon enjoys building relationships with clients, understanding their business and future plans helps him to advise on compliance and advisory matters. Being able to explain complex legislation in a way that clients can understand is something he takes great pride in. Through this approach Simon has developed strong relationships with clients and is well respected by them and his team members.
Having joined Mercer & Hole in 2012 as a tax trainee, Simon left to work in the construction industry as Corporation Tax Specialist, he then re-joined Mercer & Hole in 2019 as a Senior Tax Manager and was promoted to Director in 2023.
In his spare time Simon is kept busy with his young family, one of his sons swims for the county and his other son is signed to a professional football club. When he isn’t watching his sons play sport he enjoys playing football and golf.
