The major changes to the way VAT is collected in the building and construction industry will be introduced from 1 October 2019.

The Domestic Reverse Charge (DRC) will apply to individuals and businesses who are registered for VAT in the UK. It will affect you if you supply specified services, which are reported under the Construction Industry Scheme. The introduction of the DRC means the customer who receives the service will be responsible for paying the VAT due rather than paying the supplier.

If this will affect you please come along to our seminar on Thursday 11 July 2019.

During the seminar we will discuss how this impact you, particularly around:

  • Will the DRC affect your sales, purchases of both?
  • Are your accounting systems and software equipped to deal with this change?
  • How will the change impact on your cash flow?

We have considerable experience of working with clients operating in the construction industry and the technical expertise to guide you through this change. On Thursday 11 July we welcome you to join Audit and Business Advisory Partner, Mark Cassidy, Tax Director, David Hadley and VAT Senior Manager, Richard Collier for a session to help you get prepared. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
