Lee Benmore becomes the new chair for R3 New Professionals Committee

We are delighted to announce that Lee Benmore, Corporate Restructuring Manager, has become the new chair of the R3 New Professionals Steering Committee, which represents New Professionals nationally. R3 is the trade association for the entire community of the UK’s insolvency and restructuring professionals.

In addition, Lee will also continue to chair the new professionals committee within the London and South East Region which provides a fantastic platform for young professionals to begin to build relationships with peers at an early stage in their careers with the intention that these relationships grow stronger as they progress throughout their career.

Lee’s thoughts on his new appointment, “R3’s New Professionals Steering Committee, pulls together chairs from all the New Professional Committees in the UK, to discuss challenges they are facing facilitating events and to share and collaborate ideas, to ensure New Professionals in the industry receive value for their memberships.

I have a strong passion for New Professionals and take great pride in ensuring that there are structures in place to allow those who wish to further their career have a platform to do so. Whether that be attending industry events with technical content or opportunities to network and to forge connections with other likeminded professionals, at an early stage in their career. Personally, it is a great profile building for me and through my involvements in the Committees over the last few years, I have made contacts that will last a lifetime. Additionally, as Chair of the New Professionals you will often find me sharing my thoughts to business leaders at key industry events.

Being Chair of the New Professionals Steering Committee, as well as Chair of the New Professional Committee for the London and South East Region, provides me with direct access to key stakeholders within R3. This allows me to put forward initiatives and ideas to encourage real change. The New Professionals are the future, and we must ensure we do all we can as an industry to support those who wish to succeed in their career. Having worked at Mercer & Hole for the past six years, some of which were my more junior years, I know first-hand the importance of having a supportive firm who value the importance of investment in rising stars.
