Nevena Ivanova

Nevena is a Senior Payroll Manager in Mercer & Hole’s Virtual Finance team, working with clients from a range of different sectors including construction, legal services, technology, retail and hospitality.

No one day is like the next as she will assess her clients’ unique needs correctly to offer them the best payroll service whether she is working with a single director company through to huge multinational corporations. She finds her role extremely rewarding as she enjoys the challenge of keeping up with the constant legislative changes in such a dynamic area. She also enjoys working with large clients as it is always very interesting due to the many areas in which they need to comply including payroll, pensions and BIK and she will effectively work with many of their employees rather than one single client.

Nevena joined the Virtual Finance team in July 2022 bringing with her over 20 years of experience in the finance sector of which she has spent more than 10 years specifically honing her skills within payroll and pensions. Over the years she has worked with many payroll software packages including Sage 50 Payroll, Iris Star, Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and PAYE Basic and she has a wealth of experience of clients working in the construction industry as contractors and subcontractors and in the hospitality sector where she enables their employees to pay the correct tax on received tips. However, the most important aspect of her work that helps her to succeed is good communication with her clients so that she can correctly ascertain their individual needs to give them the best possible service.

In her spare time, Nevena enjoys traveling, reading books and gardening.
