Edward is a Chartered accountant and a qualified, appointment taking, Insolvency Practitioner. Edward is based at Mercer & Hole’s London office, with experience advising distressed companies and their stakeholders across a wide variety of sectors including education, leisure and hospitality, property and the agricultural sector, in which he has a keen interest.
Edward has in-depth experience across all types of formal insolvency appointments, with a particular focus on debt advisory. He has a well-established network of contacts in the second-tier lending markets, the scope of which is enhanced by his membership of the R3 London and South East Region Committee – the trade association for the entire community of the UK’s insolvency and restructuring professionals.
He joined Mercer & Hole in 2018, having previously worked for Smith and Williamson during which time he broadened his experience in asset based lending and corporate finance, by spending nine months on secondment as a Portfolio Manager at GE Capital.
At Mercer & Hole, Edward has assisted partners in raising funds for their clients where traditional lenders have been unable to help, with a particular emphasis on asset-based and cashflow lending from second-tier providers.
Outside of work, Edward enjoys all sports – particularly cricket and the occasional marathon! Edward spends his free time with his young family.
