Ami Patel is an Audit Manager with Mercer & Hole, working within the firm’s Audit and Assurance team. She joined the firm in 2018 as a school leaver apprentice, beginning her career in Virtual Finance before moving into Audit in 2020. During her time in Virtual Finance, Ami gained valuable experience preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping records and management accounts, providing a strong technical foundation for her audit work.
Ami completed her AAT qualification in 2020 and qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant in January 2024. She also spent seven months living in Australia, working for six months with TIAG firm ESV, before returning to the UK in December 2024. Ami was promoted to Audit Manager in April 2026.
Ami works with a wide range of clients, from small owner-managed businesses to large organisations, across sectors including wealth and fund management, construction, lending and retail. Her experience includes statutory audits, CASS audits and Solicitors’ Assurance Engagements.
Ami particularly enjoys the problem‑solving nature of audit and the variety that comes from working closely with different clients to understand their businesses in depth. She believes clear communication and transparency are key to delivering excellent client service.
Outside of work, Ami plays badminton weekly, volunteers as a club Welfare Officer, and enjoys running, baking and playing the piano. She is also the Rickmansworth Office Charity Champion, organising and supporting office fundraising initiatives.
