Based in our London office, Lara Hedegaard is a manager in our dedicated Audit team. Lara works with a range of clients ranging from small to large entities, and has worked with both UK-based and internationally based clients within a variety of sectors, including hospitality, retail, software, and manufacturing.
She works alongside the Audit Partners based in London, including Andy Turner, Helen Cain, and Andrew Dean. Whilst Lara mainly works within the Audit team, she also liaises with the Corporate Tax team when relevant to an audit, to ensure clients receive most accurate and highest quality work.
Lara enjoys working with a range of clients and developing solutions to challenging issues. She also enjoys learning about various businesses and industries. She appreciates that the role of an auditor is unique, as it allows for deep insight into how different businesses operate. Lara values open communication and trust to build strong client relationships, and is adept at giving clients clear and practical solutions to any issues they may face.
After studying at Durham University for three years and gaining her degree in Economics, Lara joined Mercer & Hole as a Graduate in September 2020. Lara gained her ACA qualification in October 2023 and was promoted to Audit Manager in October 2025.
Lara enjoys attending a wide range of the social events organised by the firm, and has co-founded a Mercer & Hole Netball League, commencing in October 2025.
Outside of work, Lara enjoys travelling to new countries and keeps active by doing yoga, Pilates, horse riding, tennis and going to the gym. She also loves to cook, and enjoys developing her own recipes in her spare time.
