Paul became a Consultant at Mercer & Hole in October 2017, having previously held the position of Managing Partner as well as a General Practice Partner at the firm.
Paul has extensive experience to call upon across all areas of professional practice and consults on auditing, accounting, taxation, incorporating share valuations, due diligence assignments, forensic accounting support and other corporate finance matters. Additionally, Paul has specialist knowledge of the agricultural sector, having previously worked with a number of estates, farms and agricultural concerns.
Paul also has expertise in the Charities and Not-for-Profit sector, having previously headed up the firm’s Charities and Not-for-Profit team. In addition to his specialist technical knowledge, Paul has practical experiences too; a Chair of Finance for two schools - one state and one academy school, and also sitting on the Board of Governors.
Having joined Mercer & Hole in 1971, Paul was a partner at the firm from 1981 until he retired in September 2017. His 36 years as a partner make him one of the longest serving partners in Mercer & Hole’s 112 year history.
Paul is married with three daughters. He is a keen golfer and ornithologist.
