William works in the Private Client Team at Mercer & Hole’s London offices. He primarily works with high-net worth individuals and families, both resident in the UK and overseas, giving support and advice on structuring their financial affairs to ensure UK tax efficiency.
He relishes the challenge of keeping on top of the ever-changing legislation and negotiating this to help his clients solve complex issues. He particularly stresses the importance of explaining complicated, technical issues in a clear and concise manner and attributes his analytical and problem-solving skills to his scientific background.
William was promoted to Senior Tax Manager at Mercer & Hole in October 2023, having started at the firm as a graduate tax trainee in 2014, whilst studying for the ATT and CTA qualifications. He chose to continue his career at Mercer & Hole as he finds the culture welcoming, inclusive and flexible with the support he needs to develop and achieve his goals. He enjoys working at the London offices as he loves the hustle and bustle of the city and the history and culture it has to offer.
In his spare time, he plays football and table tennis and enjoys socialising with friends in London.
