Tom Dinwiddy

Tom is FCA qualified and has a strong commercial background in both industry and practice. He understands the finance and accounting needs of businesses at different stages of development and enjoys using his experience of leading teams within industry to provide ongoing outsourced virtual finance and accounting services, as well as providing pragmatic advice to help his clients optimise their finance processes and structures. His experience of implementing business and finance strategy drives the service provision of Outsourcing and Business Advisory to his clients.

Tom’s particular areas of expertise include group reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury and cash flow management, establishing financial processes and controls, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, systems implementation and improvement, shared service centre set up and optimisation, as well as excellent management and leadership skills. His vision for the further success of Virtual Finance and Business Advisory is routed in quality of client service and care. As such, he is dedicated to developing relationships with his clients and sees this as key to his role. Personally, Tom is motivated by the variety of experience at Mercer & Hole and the broad ranging client base to which he can add value.

Tom qualified in practice in 2004 and joined Mercer & Hole in 2019 having spent 13 years in industry in various finance roles. These include being the Group Financial Controller of two listed Groups, having been through the IPO process for both.

Outside of work, Tom is kept busy with a young family. He enjoys sport—particularly cricket and football, and travel.
