Mark Pashley

Mark is a Corporate and Business Tax partner, based in London and offering his support across all our locations. A highly skilled tax professional with over 30 years of experience, Mark complements the work of our Audit and Business Advisory team. He provides clients, which range from owner-managed businesses to international groups, with high quality technical and commercial tax advice. By providing them with practical solutions, Mark helps his clients to navigate the complexities of the tax system to minimise their overall tax burden.

Mark has extensive knowledge in areas such as income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, employee share incentive plans, profit extraction options as well as tax structuring advice for company sales.

A people person, Mark loves to meet and build relationships with new clients. He enjoys getting a sense of what is important to them from both a corporate and personal point of view. Whilst his technical skills are many, it is his approach of collaboration, of being a good listener and his ability to build rapport, which make him a trusted and valued advisor. He also cites that his years of experience have taught him that it is not all about the tax technical – common sense and business acumen are also key qualities of a good tax adviser.

Mark joined Mercer & Hole in 2020 from Grant Thornton and has also worked at BDO and PWC.

A keen traveller, one of the things Mark’s values greatly is meeting people from different cultures. He also enjoys road cycling to keep fit and is a big fan of Liverpool football club.
