Lisa Colwill is an Assistant Manager in Mercer & Hole’s Virtual Finance team, based in our Rickmansworth office. She joined the office in 2012 when it was part of a predecessor firm, which later merged with Mercer & Hole in 2016. Lisa began her accounting career in 2004 and has since built extensive experience across bookkeeping, VAT and payroll, developing a strong foundation of practical, hands-on expertise.
Lisa specialises in bookkeeping and VAT, supporting clients with their day-to-day financial needs and helping to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency in their financial records. She works closely with a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses and small to medium-sized enterprises, across a broad range of sectors such as property, retail, hospitality, construction, professional services and the entertainment industry.
A key strength of Lisa’s approach is her commitment to building strong client relationships. She takes pride in delivering consistent, reliable support and enjoys gaining a thorough understanding of each client’s business so she can provide practical, tailored advice. Lisa finds it particularly rewarding to add value through accurate work and by helping clients feel confident that their financial affairs are in safe hands.
Lisa believes that clear communication, reliability and approachability are essential to delivering excellent client service. She is proactive and responsive, ensuring clients feel supported and informed at all times, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality in her work.
Working across a varied client portfolio means balancing differing needs and tight deadlines can be challenging, particularly during busier periods. Lisa manages this effectively, maintaining strong organisation and attention to detail, while continuing to provide timely and dependable support.
Within Mercer & Hole, Lisa works closely with Partners and managers in the Virtual Finance team, as well as collaborating with accounts and tax teams to provide a joined-up service to clients. She also takes part in wellbeing walks and charity initiatives, recognising the importance of engagement and wellbeing within the firm.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys baking, travelling and spending time with her two children.
