Jacqui Gudgion

Jacqui is a Chartered Tax Advisor with over 30 years’ experience in practice. She has spent the majority of her career working with business and individual entrepreneurial clients and has built up an extensive range of local professional and commercial contacts. In addition to being able to offer clients professional tax advice, Jacqui’s commercial acumen enables her to provide a far wider business advisory role and she often makes use of her connections to the benefit of clients.

With an advisory and solution based approach, Jacqui enjoys working with a varied portfolio of clients. She has experience in tax planning for reconstructions and reorganisations, profit extraction, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax and Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI). Jacqui also works closely with the Corporate Finance Team providing tax input on acquisitions (due diligence and structuring work) and disposals advice for corporates and shareholders.

Additionally, Jacqui’s past experience included a professional services business development role, which has contributed to a broad commercial understanding of many different sectors and businesses. She was promoted to partner in 2020, having re-joined Mercer & Hole in 2015 (she originally spent time training with the firm in the early 90’s). Much of her previous career was spent with Grant Thornton.

Outside of work, Jacqui enjoys spending time with her family. She is a keen cyclist and has taken part in the MK Extra Mile Cycle Challenge, cycling 500 miles over three days in France’s Vosges Mountains. Jacqui also competed in Celebrity Just Dance, learning and performing complex dance routines, in support of Milton Keynes Dons Sports & Education Trust.
