Jacqui is based at the firm’s Milton Keynes office and is a Chartered Tax Advisor with over 25 years’ experience in practice. She has spent the majority of her career working with business and individual entrepreneurial clients in the Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire areas and has built up an extensive range of local professional and commercial contacts over this time. In addition to being able to offer clients professional tax advice, Jacqui’s commercial acumen enables her to provide a far wider business advisory role and she often makes use of her connections to the benefit of clients.
With an advisory and solution based approach, Jacqui enjoys working with a varied portfolio of clients. She has experience in tax planning for reconstructions and reorganisations, profit extraction, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax, Research & Development Relief claims and Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI). Jacqui also works closely with the Corporate Finance Team providing tax input on acquisitions and disposal.
Notably, Jacqui has considerable expertise of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and has advised many of her entrepreneurial clients through the scheme’s complex qualification criteria, enabling them to raise finance and grow their businesses. She has been awarded the EISA Diploma by the EIS Association (EISA), of which she is also a member.
Jacqui has specialist knowledge of the automotive sector, having gained several years of experience advising retailers in this field. Additionally, Jacqui’s past experience included a professional services business development role, which has contributed to a broad commercial understanding of many different sectors and businesses.
Jacqui joined Mercer & Hole in 2015, having spent much of her previous career with Grant Thornton. This, however, is her second spell at Mercer & Hole as she originally spent time training with the firm in the early 90’s, shortly after the Milton Keynes office opened.
Outside of work, Jacqui enjoys spending time with her family and is a keen cyclist. In 2014, she took part in the MK Extra Mile Cycle Challenge, cycling 500 miles over three days in France’s Vosges Mountains.
