Courtney Halifax features in Lexis Nexis
Courtney works closely with the firm’s private client partners, splitting her time between the firm’s St Albans and London offices. Courtney primarily works with high net worth individuals, families and non UK resident individuals. She regularly attends client meetings with partners and is instrumental in pursuing the agreed plan of action, whether that is inheritance tax planning, setting up trusts, ensuring access to relevant reliefs, or working with a client to simplify the structuring of their financial affairs.
Additionally, Courtney works with non UK domiciled clients, helping them to understand the complicated tax rules and how the legislation works in relation to their particular circumstances.
Courtney enjoys unravelling complexity and the intellectual challenge that comes with keeping on top of changing legislation. She takes particular pride in dissecting complex issues and helping clients gain a real understanding of their financial affairs. Through this approach, she has developed strong client relationships and is well respected by clients and peers alike.
Courtney joined Mercer & Hole as a Graduate Trainee in 2013 and became ATT and CTA qualified. She was promoted to Manager in 2018.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends especially if this gives her an excuse to cook or bake. She has also recently ventured into running.
