Clare works with companies in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, retail, energy, construction, fintech and eGaming. Based in our St Albans office, Clare specialises in dealing with groups, particularly UK subsidiaries of overseas groups as well as owner-managed businesses of all sizes. With more than 20 years’ experience, she has a hand-on and pragmatic approach, working closely with her clients to build strong relationships with them to help them with their UK Auditing, accounting and statutory compliance requirements.
Clare also has a strong focus on the technical aspects of UK GAAP and is involved in Mercer & Hole’s Audit Technical Committee and audit quality management.
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001, with a small North London practice, Clare first joined Mercer & Hole later that year, spending three years with the firm. She then worked for a top 70, London-based firm for eight years as a Senior Audit Manager before re-joining Mercer & Hole in 2013 and becoming an Audit Director in 2022.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys both playing and watching tennis, with the UK grass court season and Wimbledon being a particular highlight of the year. She also has a keen interest in genealogy and loves socialising with friends and family.
