New ‘HMRC’ scam email
HMRC is looking to raise awareness of a new phishing scam. Anyone receiving an email with the subject ‘Your 2016 Tax Report’, with an attachment, should not open it.
The email should be forwarded to email@example.com and then deleted.
HMRC provides updates to its guidance on phishing emails and bogus contact.
