Mercer & Hole’s David Hadley to present at the Payroll World Spring Update
Mercer & Hole Tax Director, David Hadley will be speaking about termination payments at the Payroll World Spring Update on 25 May at the ILEC Centre in London.
The Payroll Spring Update brings together the In-house Payroll Conference and the Client Payroll Conference. The event features speakers from industry, practice and HMRC.
David’s presentation will explain the details of termination payment changes, which come into force in April 2018 and examine how the changes will impact upon payroll professionals. He will also be discussing the end of Foreign Service Relief for termination payments and explore the exceptions to National Insurance Contributions (NICs) imposed on termination payments for employees based overseas.
David, whose tax career has extended over 30 years, works with a wide range of businesses, ranging from small family companies to large entrepreneurial corporations, as well as charities and not-for-profit organisations. He provides advice on issues including, Entrepreneurs’ Relief, Substantial Shareholding Exemption and Inheritance Tax (IHT) Business Asset Relief. Working closely with Mercer & Hole’s Corporate Finance Team, David is able to provide tax guidance on all aspects of the purchase and sale of businesses. He also advises on reorganisations of businesses, including incorporations, statutory demergers, capital reduction schemes and section 110 reconstructions. Additionally, David has specialist knowledge on tax issues around funding, share schemes and fiscal valuations for the purposes of employment-related securities.
