Mercer & Hole v Debenhams Ottaway Cricket Match 2018
Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants played their annual cricket match against Debenhams Ottaway at Kings Langley Cricket Club Ground on 24 July.
The Mercer & Hole team were: Sandy Bell, Peter Godfrey Evans, Jack Reyland, Daniel McCloskey, Joe Rowland, Chris Dennell, Dan Miles, John Moore, Jack Harris, Will Readman and Josh Garlick.
The match was played in a friendly yet competitive spirit, with Mercer & Hole winning with 163 runs for 2 wickets after 20 overs, against 123 runs for 8 wickets after 20 overs from Debenhams Ottaway. There was some excellent batting from Joe Rowland, Jack Harris, Jack Reyland and Josh Garlick who all reached 25 and had to retire not out.
Mercer & Hole provided some great bowling and fielding, with Jack Reyland taking 3 wickets and the remaining 5 wickets spread evenly throughout the team.
A big thank you to our umpire Mark Cassidy and also to Nicholas Turner of Debenhams Ottaway for the use of Kings Langley Cricket Club.
Both teams enjoyed socialising together after the match.
