Mercer & Hole to volunteer at Highfield Park
Volunteers from Mercer & Hole will be donning their gardening gloves in Highfield Park’s Mediterranean Garden next week to help out Highfield Park Trust.
The team of seven from Mercer & Hole will donate 110 minutes of their usual working day, swapping their accountancy, HR, marketing, finance and secretarial roles for weeding, pruning and general garden maintenance.
Highfield Park offers the local community a diverse range of recreational facilities and provides a haven for wildlife. The Mediterranean Garden, one of the park’s feature gardens, was created in 2000 following a competition with Oaklands College. The garden was designed to be low maintenance and drought resistance but still requires attention to enable visitors to enjoy it at its best.
Mercer & Hole’s Director of Trusts, Daniel Bisby, said “We are pleased to be lending a hand to Highfield Park Trust and hope local residents will get some Mediterranean –style weather this summer to gain full benefit from the park and its gardens.”
Mercer & Hole are supporting a range of good causes, projects and events over the coming months as they celebrate their 110 year history with St Albans.
