Mercer & Hole Push it for Peace
A team from the Rickmansworth office of Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants took part in the Push it for Peace event held in Cassiobury Park, Watford on 23 September.
Push it for Peace is a 5k and 10k obstacle run, which has become an annual fundraising event for Peace Hospice. Both courses featured an inflatable zone, a foam zone and a water zone, plus those taking on the 10km rote also had to encounter a military zone.
Mercer and Hole entered a team in both the 5k and 10k events. Partners, David Jones and Sandy Bell also came along to provide moral support and look after the team’s valuables.
Speaking on behalf of the Mercer & Hole team, Director and 10k contestant, Jolene Upshall said “We all had a fun time getting wet and muddy in aid of Peace Hospice. There was a great sense of camaraderie within the team and we stuck together to get through the obstacles. Despite some tough challenges we all crossed the finishing line smiling - wet, muddy and triumphant!”
In addition to setting up a JustGiving page to attract donations, the Mercer & Hole team held bake sales at the firm’s Rickmansworth office to further their fundraising effort.
Peace Hospice is aiming to raise £75,000 from the event.
