Mercer & Hole donate Christmas treats to Dogs for Good
Chartered Accountant’s Mercer & Hole are already committing to their New Year’s resolution to work with more charities and good causes in the community, during 2016.
Partners and staff at Mercer & Hole’s Milton Keynes office made sure the hard-working dogs in training at Dogs for Good (previously known as Dogs for the Disabled) got a good start to the year by donating toys and treats for their ‘Doggie Stockings’.
Dogs for Good explores the way dogs can help people with specific challenges to overcome them and improve their lives. This includes training puppies to assist people with a range of disabilities and also children with autism, as well as training activity and therapy dogs to work with specialist handlers in communities and schools. Further, the charity runs workshops, which explore the potential benefits of a family dog for those caring for a child with autism.
Mercer & Hole Tax Partner, Cathy Corns donated the items to Dogs for Good volunteer puppy socialiser Sue Howard and also met puppy Wallis. She said: “We are delighted to support Dogs for Good. These dogs make a huge difference to people’s lives enabling them to overcome challenges and gain independence. The dogs work very hard whilst training and are hugely deserving of the treats and toys we have collected.”
Cathryn Simpson, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at Dogs for Good said “We appreciate Mercer & Hole’s continued support and so will our dogs, who will be delighted with their new dog toys and treats.”
