Mercer & Hole donate £110 to Alzheimer’s Society
Mercer & Hole donated £110 to the Welwyn Garden City branch of the Alzheimer’s Society in September.
The charity provides help and support to those worried about dementia or affected by the condition. There are currently 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, supported by 670,000 carers. By 2025, there will be 1 million people living with the condition. Currently, only 44% of those living with dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland receive a formal diagnosis. The Alzheimer’s Society is working hard to tackle the stigma attached to dementia and to create more understanding amongst the British public by asking them to become a ‘Dementia Friend’.
Mercer & Hole are proud to support the charity as part of its 110th year of business celebrations – a year which has seen the firm contribute to the local and wider community with a variety of 110 themed gestures.
