Mercer & Hole compete in St Albans Pancake Race
Mercer & Hole competed in the St Albans Pancake running race in St Peter’s Street today along with many other local businesses and organisations.
The relay race comprised of three flipping stations where each individual had to stop and toss their pancake before turning and sprinting for home. Frying pans, complete with pancakes, were then transferred to the next in line, baton-style.
Ed Huggett, Adam Liddy, Tracy Powell and Wendy Webster formed Mercer & Hole’s team and went head to head with three others to win their heat and go forward to the semi-finals. The semi-final was more competitive and saw the team narrowly miss out on a place in the final. Fitness First went on to win the event.
The event was well supported with many on-lookers making the most of the bright conditions. The Mayor of St Albans, Councillor Geoff Harrison, who opened the event, spoke of his satisfaction in seeing such a high attendance and encouraged everyone to have a great time. Amongst the spectators were Senior Partner, Paul Maberly and Managing Partner, Paul Webster, who were also joined by Partner, Helen Price.
