Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants take part in Rickmansworth Pancake Race
A team from Mercer & Hole’s Rickmansworth office took part in the Rickmansworth Pancake Race on Tuesday 28th February. Now in its 16th year, the ever-popular Rickmansworth Pancake Race took place from 11am – midday on Shrove Tuesday.
Local companies and groups raced down Rickmansworth High Street in a 4 leg relay which involved a pancake flip and run - all in pursuit of the winner's shield.
Mercer & Hole’s team members’ Patrick Burke, Crosby Enninful, Daniel Miles and Holly Coulson from our Rickmansworth office took part along with 15 other teams from the local business community. The team raised £88 for Mencap and will shortly be receiving a Pancake Medal for their fundraising efforts.
Our team raced to an overwhelming victory in their first leg against Gibbs Gillespie, LoCO2 Energy and Mencap which secured them a place in the final. The final was a tough race with very steep competition – our team came in a respectable third place.
Afterwards, the racers gathered for lunch at the Coach & Horses where prizes were awarded to the team raising the most sponsorship money and best fancy dress. All proceeds went to Watford Mencap.
