Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants help the homeless
A team from Mercer & Hole’s London office volunteered to help feed the homeless in London with AMURT UK on Thursday 24 November.
AMURT UK are part of a wider, international charity, whose homeless feeding program in London provides over 300 homeless and vulnerable people with a warm and nutritious meal each week. The meals are produced using fresh produce which is donated by the stall holders at Spitalfields market, which would otherwise go to waste.
Private Client Partner, Gill Tallon and Receptionist, Danielle Cornford prepared the food and cooking for the evening meal at the charity’s base in Stoke Newington. The meals are then transported to Holborn, where they will be distributed to those in need.
Gill said “Both Danielle and I enjoyed getting to know the team of volunteers and workers at AMURT who provide a much needed service to the London community. It was a pleasure to offer our time and support to AMURT, who do such a great job in providing this regular feeding program to London’s homeless.”
