Gary Farnes volunteers at MK Dons Sports Education Trust
Gary Farnes, a partner at Mercer & Hole, supported MK Dons Sports Education Trust when he turned up to help out at one of their Summer Holiday activity camps at the MK Dons Training Ground at Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes, on Monday, 4th August 2014.
Gary, who is qualified as a FA Level 1 Coach, joined the youngsters to work on football drills and games as part of the firm of Chartered Accountant’s ‘25 Acts of Kindness’ campaign. The campaign celebrates 25 years of the firm having an office in Milton Keynes and aims to share in its milestone celebration by encouraging its staff to take part in a range of generous acts within both the local community and the office.
The holiday courses arranged by MK Dons Sports Education Trust encourage children to participate in physical activity during the school holidays and provide an environment conducive to them meeting and making new friends, whilst generally improving their confidence. The Trust operates through seven departments; Education, Social Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing, Girls and Womens, Football Development and Community Delivery to engage a diverse range of people within the local community.
Mercer & Hole have worked with The Milton Keynes Community Foundation to identify a wide range of worthy causes to benefit from the firm’s ‘Acts of Kindness’ campaign and there are still more to be unveiled so watch this space for breaking news…
