I was working for a financial planning company, which was bought by Mercer & Hole, and subsequently became our financial planning arm. At the time, I was working for the owner and administering pension and life insurance policies.
My role evolved and whilst I worked with the Financial Planning Team for another couple of years, I also started to work with the Corporate Finance Team as that was set up within the firm.
Although I still support the Corporate Finance Team, I now mainly work for Robert Jamieson, as his PA. Robert has a really busy schedule and so I’m involved in extensive diary management, I make all his travel arrangements, produce his lecture notes, do his billing and anything else he requires.
The thing that I like most about working here is that everyone is very friendly. It is quite a big firm but we have managed to retain a small office feel. Everyone knows everyone and there is always lots going on – it is very sociable! I have found being able to work flexible hours really helpful too, especially when my daughter was younger.
