It has recently been announced that the government will provide a grant for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) established in the UK to help with customs training or professional advice needed following Brexit.
The £20 million SME Brexit Support Fund will help the UK’s 6 million small businesses cope with changes to trade rules with the EU. It can provide a grant of up to £2,000 for businesses with fewer than 500 employees and less than £100 million annual turnover. This is to help SMEs adjust to new customs, rules of origin, and VAT rules when trading with the EU to help ensure that they can continue trading effectively.

The application process is not yet available but is due to open this month.
