We are proud to be the headline sponsor of The Taylor Trek 2026, the flagship fundraising event organised by Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust in partnership with Rennie Grove Peace Hospice. This will be our fifth year in a row supporting this brilliant initiative to raise money for a cause that is so close to the hearts of our team and our community. 

Taking place later this year on Saturday 4 October 2026, The Taylor Trek is a unique charity walk that invites participants from across the local area to come together in celebration and remembrance. Starting and ending at Vicarage Road Stadium, the walk honours the incredible legacy of Graham Taylor, Watford FC’s most iconic manager and a proud patron of both benefitting charities.

As a firm rooted in the community, Mercer & Hole has seen first-hand the positive impact this event delivers – both in the funds it raises, and in its positive atmosphere and family feel.

This year there are three route options for participants, catering for all ages and abilities – everyone is invited to take part:  

• Family Route (3.5 miles)
  A fun and accessible route perfect for families, casual walkers and even four-legged companions.
• Medium Route (8.3 miles)
  An ideal challenge for those looking to combine exercise with a journey through Watford FC history.
• Challenge Route (18+ miles)
  A demanding trek that visits key locations connected to Graham Taylor’s Hornets legacy.

Not only will participants get to enjoy complimentary refreshments and a pitch-side finish, but they will also receive a commemorative medal, exclusive Taylor Trek merchandise, and the chance to meet special guests.
