We are proud and delighted to congratulate Lisa Spearman on being nominated for the 2021 International Women’s Day #ChooseToChallenge100.
Natwest, along with SEMLEP, OxLEP and CambsLEP are working together to identify, showcase and celebrate 100 inspirational women, and Lisa has been recognised as one of those 100! She will be taking part in an online event on 8 March which will bring together all 100 shortlisted women to share their stories and celebrate their achievements and journeys. She will also feature in an e-book celebrating International Women’s Day 2021.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge, highlighting the importance of choosing to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality, as well as choosing to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements.
It is so important to challenge the gender biases we see in the world, but also, crucially, the – often subconscious – gender biases we have within ourselves as well. By doing this, and by recognising the hard work and achievements of women, we help make the world a fairer, more inclusive place.
