Brexit and beyond - 2021 new year, new beginnings - Nov 17

2020 has been a turbulent year of unprecedented change for all businesses and individuals irrespective of sector. Back in July, Mercer & Hole hosted a “Focus of the future” webinar which focussed on the COVID-19 support measures and looked at the necessary pivots and adjustments for both businesses and individuals alike.

Now we head towards the end of the year and the full effects of the pandemic are felt along with the looming implications of Brexit, we would like to present a new webinar where we will consider what’s next for you and your business and personal circumstances.

Our accountancy and tax experts will host this Mercer & Hole webinar: Brexit and beyond: 2021 new year, new beginnings.

The main focus will be to provide both essential business support for the next three to six months and to provide topical tax insight in navigating both the pitfalls and the fresh opportunities 2021 will hold.

The key discussion points will include:

  • Cash flow analysis and working capital management
  • Looking at ways to manage lead times, supply chain and customer base
  • The impact of Brexit on cross border trade
  • Job Support Scheme and the cost impact
  • COVID-19 business support update
  • Future tax changes and implications for businesses and individuals
  • Making Tax Digital (MTD) – digital links requirements
  • VAT – property development and construction
  • Construction and the domestic reverse charge
  • How does government COVID-19 support interact with R&D tax relief claims and share schemes?

We will welcome questions from attendees and follow-up support will be available.
