Small charities – online help and information
The Charities Commission wants to help the trustees of small charities face many of the common questions and issues that they face in the quickest and easiest way possible. Such questions can include: Can your charity buy or rent property? What should you do when your charity grows? How should you organise votes at board level?
To do this the Commission has developed a new section of their website that is dedicated to providing advice and guidance for small charities. Basic information provided on the new site includes: starting/running/winding down of a small charity, finding trustees, registering with the commission, accounting and reporting and dealing with property.
