Academies Land and property valuation statement
This is a reminder that all academies open by 31 March 2012 should complete and return to the Education Funding Agency (EFA) their Land and Property Valuation statement by 5 July 2012.
If Academies do this then the EFA will ensure that a valuer values the land and property. It will be a desktop valuation ie the valuer will not require access to the academies’ land or property. It will be done on the depreciated replacement cost method. The valuations will be undertaken between July and September 2012. The valuation can be used in the 2011/2012 Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) form. This form has to be completed and submitted by 28 September 2012. If the valuation is not received in time the valuation will be added by the EFA on the academy’s behalf. The valuation can also be used in the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2012.
