Tax avoidance – interesting result

The Upper Tribunal has recently ruled on a tax avoidance scheme.  It held that the intermediary steps in a restricted share scheme could not be ignored.  This meant the scheme was effective in providing funds to employees and directors with no income tax or NIC charge.
