Should tax on benefits be collected through the payroll?

If you have a view on this, now is your opportunity to say so. HMRC has invited people to complete an on-line questionnaire (by 31 July) so the department can continue its review of the merits of collecting tax and NICs on benefits through the payroll rather than through the current Form P11D procedure. If this is an issue that may affect you, I would urge you to take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. If enough people respond, HMRC may take notice; if everyone ignores it I suspect they will do whatever is easiest for them, as opposed to you.
