Research & Development (R&D) - an under utilised relief
Whilst R&D has a very 'high tech' sound, in practice the relief is there for any company engaged in activities that provide an advancement in the fields of science or technology. To put this into context we have claimed the relief for trades ranging from production of food coatings through manufacture of saucepans, manufacture of valves and up to waste disposal and production of software.
The position is not restricted to companies involved in high level software and pharmaceutical research; a lot of manufacturing businesses who are continually seeking to improve their product offering could qualify.
If you think you may be missing out, feel free to contact us and see if there is any possibility of a claim for your business.
