Have your say on higher stamp duty for buy-to-let and second homes

HMRC is consulting on the details of the higher rates of Duty Land Tax (SDLT) on purchases of additional residential properties announced in the 2015 Autumn Statement  The new proposals set SDLT at three percentage points above the current rates for, and will take effect from 1 April 2016.  The closing date for this consultation is 1 February – only 3 weeks from now.  If this is likely to affect you personally or a matter you have a strong opinion on, please read the full consultation and consider the questions at:
