Further information for tax authorities
The Government has announced new rules that will require companies to supply information on their ‘beneficial owners’ to a central registry maintained by Companies House. This is intended to address the current “lack of clarity” about who really owns, controls and benefits from companies.
The Government will shortly consult on the detail of the new rules, including whether or not the new register of beneficial ownership should be made publicly available.
