Correcting Employment Allowance

Apparently many groups of companies have been inadvertently claiming multiple employment allowances, an area on which HMRC is focussing due to some aggressive tax  planning around the allowance.  However, it is now possible to correct this quickly and reduce the risk of penalties being charged in the future.

There is now a small window of opportunity for employers to correct their mistake through real-time information (RTI) without a penalty being charged.
