Business friendly tax?
It appears that the Institute of Directors has said that the UK tax system is not as business-friendly as it could be.
Among other things it felt that policy changes need to be considered more carefully and that a lack of consultation on new obligations means that the government has imposed onerous new burdens. Personally, I think truly simplifying the law would substantially reduce compliance costs.
