Budget 2010 - Emergency Budget set for Tuesday 22 June 2010
Chancellor George Osborne has announced that the country’s new coalition government will hold an emergency budget on Tuesday 22 June 2010.
The Conservative Party promised before the recent UK general election that it would hold an emergency budget within 50 days if it came into power in a bid to tackle the UK’s massive budget deficit.
"The budget date will be Tuesday, 22 June, exactly six weeks or 42 days from the signing of the coalition agreement," he told reporters.
