Jane is a qualified Chartered Accountant based at Mercer & Hole’s St Albans offices. She manages client’s records, prepares their accounts, carries out audits, deals with any resulting issues and liaises with colleagues across all service lines. A majority of the clients Jane works with are small to medium sized business and often family-run, although she has experience in auditing bigger companies too. Although her portfolio is varied, Jane works with a number of farming clients and internet-based start-ups. Auditing pension schemes is also one of Jane’s specialisms, having trained extensively in this sector.
Jane particularly enjoys client contact and organising her client’s financial affairs. She finds helping colleagues satisfying and particularly enjoys her role in mentoring trainees.
Jane joined Mercer & Hole as a trainee in 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014. She has had a progressive career with the firm, being promoted to Audit Manager in 2016 and promoted to Senior Audit Manager in 2021.
Outside of work, Jane is busy being a mum to her young daughter. When time allows, Jane also enjoys cycling on a daily basis, running, growing vegetables in her allotment and cooking for family and friends.
