Paul is joint managing partner as well as a general practice partner at Mercer & Hole. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1975 and with over 40 years experience, Paul has built up extensive experience providing advice and guidance to corporate and business clients.
Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and embraces all areas of professional practice including: auditing, accounting, taxation and this includes share valuations, due diligence assignments, forensic accounting support and other corporate finance matters.
Paul works with a range of SME’s (small to medium sized enterprises) particularly engineering firms, charities and financial services firms. He also specialises in the agricultural sector working for a number of estates, farms and agricultural concerns.
Within Mercer & Hole, Paul manages the firm’s graduate training programme and graduate recruitment. He is also the Chair of Audit and Assurance at TIAG (The International Accounting Group) and Chair of Finance for one state and one academy school. He also has experience of lecturing extensively in audit, accounting and valuations and works closely with the ICAEW with training programmes as well as managing compliance for training and best practice.
Paul is married with three daughters. In his spare time, Paul is a keen golfer and ornithologist.
