David Mansell is both a qualified chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, and specialises in identifying tax efficient solutions to the challenges faced by business owners, senior executives and their companies. He has in-depth experience of working with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations, including housing associations and charities.
David is acutely aware that the issues facing his clients, of all sizes and at varying stages of growth, are not confined to taxation and that his recommendations must complement business strategies and owners’ personal ambitions, as well as responding to tax issues. David’s experience includes advising business leaders on succession planning, employee retention and incentivisation, property transactions, company acquisitions and disposals, business structuring, and company and group re-organisations.
David joined Mercer & Hole as a partner in 2007. Previously he was a partner with Mazars, where he was a member of the firm’s National Tax Investigations Group, which dealt with all HM Revenue & Customs’ investigations and he co-authored the firm’s strategy on the Offshore Disclosure facility.
A graduate of the University of Cambridge, David spent twelve years with Midland Bank in a range of lending and marketing management roles, before training for his career in accountancy with KPMG. Until the end of 2002, David was a Tax Director with Tenon plc.
Married with two daughters, David enjoys relaxing with his family and as a season ticket holder with Arsenal FC.
