Andy Crook is a general practice partner at Mercer & Hole providing audit and accountancy services to small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), including start-ups and family run businesses, and large organisations and divisions of listed multi-national corporations throughout the London area.
He leads a team who not only provide audit and accountancy services, but also outsourcing, company secretarial work and guidance on a wide range of corporate and directors’ taxation issues. Part of the work of the general practice department is to provide advice regarding the development of the business, whether this be for a business start-up, a growing firm or for the business owner who is looking at succession issues. Andy works closely with Mercer & Hole’s corporate tax and financial services departments to provide wide-ranging advice to the client.
With a good knowledge of international financial reporting standards Andy has acted for many clients with overseas interests.
Andy has acted as audit partner for publicly quoted companies (on AIM) and has worked on flotations and other reporting account assignment. Andy also has other corporate finance skills including financial due diligence, raising finance and strategic advice.
Most recently, Andy has acted for a number of Lehman Brothers subsidiaries, assisting PwC and Alvarez & Marsal in their administration of the Group.
He joined Mercer & Hole as a partner in 2005. Andy qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 with a top ten firm of accountants in Leeds before moving to London in 1996.
Andy is married and has two dogs. He enjoys keeping fit, Indian food and is a keen cricket fan.
