Partial Exits
Some shareholders are keen to keep an interest in the business after their exit.
We can advise on vendor loan notes, retained equity, non-embarrassment clauses and many other instruments to ensure that a financial involvement in the business is retained following an exit.
Many private equity providers are willing to offer cash-out deals to entrepreneurs, whereby 20-25% of a business is sold to a fund. This provides the seller with the financial security and an ongoing strategic input into the business (with the obvious downside that their stake is diluted).
