Our Story
Mercer & Hole is a modern firm but with roots established in 1905 by the founding partner, William Mercer.
The firm started by providing accountancy and tax services to a small client base but over time it has changed and developed as the client base has grown. Now with a broad portfolio of business clients spread across a range of industries and a strong base of private clients, Mercer & Hole has the expertise to address many varied aspects of a client’s financial affairs. The firm offers, for example, specialist Audit and Assurance services, Business Development, Corporation Tax and Due Diligence services, Taxation and Trust services, Financial Planning and Restructuring & Insolvency services.
Although an independent firm, in response to the increasingly international nature of business, Mercer & Hole has become a founder member of TIAG (The International Accounting Group) of accountants and through this alliance and its sister group of legal firms TAGLaw, we have like-minded firms all over the world to provide accounting and legal services to us and our clients.
Mercer & Hole has three offices (St Albans, London, and Milton Keynes) and 18 partners who each work very closely with their clients on a day-to-day basis. We take pride in providing a personal service to our clients, led by our partners, who work closely with clients to understand their requirements and present practical solutions to tackle their current concerns and plan for the future.
