Due Diligence
Due diligence is undertaken to reassure acquirers or investors of a business’s value and to highlight key risks which affect the investment decision.
It is a rigorous test of the assumptions that the buyer made when making an offer to buy or invest in the business.
The three main areas of Due Diligence are Financial, Commercial and Legal. Dependent on the nature of the transaction, it may also require Pensions, IT, Environmental, Technical and Operational Due Diligence.
