Financial Services Paraplanner – London
An opportunity has arisen for a Paraplanner with previous experience to join our London Financial Services team. The role will involve working with the financial advisers, providing expertise and assistance as required. Duties include carrying out market research, preparing bespoke reports and recommendations in all areas of the business including pension transfers and other technical matters, holistic financial planning, client contact and relationship building, checking client files and summaries prior to review meetings, assisting with administration when required and monitoring progress and follow through in terms of transacting business once advice has ben given. Candidates who are Diploma qualified or nearly qualified would be desirable as well as experience using First Software however this is not essential. You should be able to demonstrate commercial sense, have an analytical approach and be able to understand client expectations.
Accounts & Payroll Assistant - Milton Keynes
A reliable individual with a proven track record is required in our Milton Keynes office. Duties include inputting sales/purchase invoices, processing payrolls and assisting with preparation of VAT returns and management accounts. Experience of Sage would be an advantage in this full-time role.
Senior Business/Corporate Tax Manager with Partnership potential – London EC4 (with travel to other offices as required)
A role has arisen in our London office for a Senior Corporate/Business Tax Manager. The main duties will involve the provision of high level technical support to the Partners in advising clients on tax planning opportunities. The diverse client base provides a challenging range of queries and opportunities. A good working knowledge of research & development tax credits, share options and venture capital reliefs will be important as will experience in reorganisations, corporate transactions and due diligence. The role involves training of tax staff either on the job based or by way of participation in regular technical updates. It also requires assistance with queries arising from our international network. The role will also involve providing support to the Partners on practice development in terms of marketing campaigns and literature, networking, website support, contributing to the firm’s blogs and raising awareness of topical issues. Experience in this area however will not take precedence over the need for high levels of technical knowledge in the business tax field.
Whilst the role is essentially advisory based with minimal compliance responsibilities as the preparation of returns and computations is wholly computerized, the successful candidate will be expected to be fully conversant with the appropriate software.
The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and have at least 8 years post-qualification experience of working within a business tax department of an accountancy practice. A high standard of written and verbal communication skills is essential.

Corporate & Business Tax Manager – St Albans
We require a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser with experience of working within a mixed tax department of an accountancy practice. A high standard of written and verbal communication skills is essential.
The main duties will involve the management of the compliance cycle and the provision of tax advice to a variety of owner-managed companies and businesses and will include the following:
- Management of the office’s compliance work
- Staff management
- Controlling costs and budgets
- Providing support to the Partners in advising clients on tax planning opportunities
- Providing support to the Partners on practice development
