Mercer & Hole sponsor Radio Verulam broadcast for the Food & Drink Festival

The Food & Drink Festival has returned to St Albans and Harpenden this year to celebrate the wide variety of food and drink businesses, venues and professionals that is available across the District.

The winners will be announced at the Food & Drink Awards evening on Monday 6th October at St Michael’s Manor.

Mercer & Hole agreed to sponsor the broadcast at the awards evening through Radio Verulam a community station for people living, working, being educated or visiting West Hertfordshire. All programmes are produced and introduced by trained volunteers.

Without Mercer & Hole sponsorship Radio Verulam would be unable to broadcast live from the Food & Drink awards ceremony. Nick Hazell the Studio Manager said “Covering events central to our community like the food and drink awards is an important part of what we do at Radio Verulam.  By sponsoring our coverage, Mercer and Hole are  providing vital support to our efforts to bring local current affairs coverage to listeners across Hertfordshire.”

On 6th October Paul Maberly, Senior Partner will be joining a host of business professionals and Radio Verulam to broadcast live from the Food & Drink awards ceremony. Paul Maberly said “Mercer & Hole are delighted to be supporting Radio Verulam’s coverage of the Food & Drink Festival and to be involved with this great event. The firm has been doing business in St Albans for a considerable length of time so to be able to provide our local community with an enriched broadcast service is an opportunity we welcome. St Albans continues to be a very special place for us and it’s great to celebrate the quality and diversity of food and drink businesses catering for the District.”

Tune in to 92.6FM on Monday 6th October from 7:00pm to hear the winners of the Food & Drink Festival and to listen to Paul Maberly, Senior Partner speaking on the business panel.
